Sorghum: A short variety with good drought tolerance. Makes grain to carry into the winter. 

Jackpot Turnip: grazing brassica with regrowth potential. 

Cowpeas: A summer legume with good heat and drought tolerance. 

 

All are known for their drought and heat tolerance. It does take moisture to get it going.
